Tournaments for children and juniors 10

Children in Prague can play a rated or unrated tournament almost every month of the school year. Krč is the busiest place for it: the PORG Open series at the Nový PORG school and the OAZA AKROP OPEN in the OAZA clubroom, where the same club also runs Šachové hvězdičky, a series for girls.

The Alejský turnaj at the Gymnázium nad Alejí in Praha 6 counts for the Czech rapid list. The meeting room of the Prague 5 district office hosts the Mikulášská šachová nadílka in December, the Turnaj kosmonautů in spring and the Memoriál Jana Weisgraba in November, all for players under eighteen. Újezd nad Lesy has a half-year rapid for younger children, and the federation runs the Prague youth championships, with junior sections at the Zlatá Praha festival.
